CP 2007 - Posting from Day 2

There was just too much to do last night to be able to update you on the first get-together. It went well, with all the participants arriving without mishap apart from two delegates from Switzerland, who boarded the wrong train...

As ice-breaker we played a game where each delegate had to collect signatures from other delegates who could, among other things recite the alphabet backwards, name the 12 minor prophets in the correct order (let me try again: Hosea, Jonah, Amos, Oblada...) , or tell them a short joke ("Two men walked into a bar. You'd think the first one would have told the other to be careful.") Yes, years of reading 'Kids Alive' really paid off...

All appeared at breakfast this morning looking rested and ready to face a first set of lectures on "The Salvation Army and I"

Good news: Some of the delegates have agreed to write for the blog, and publish some of their photos.

The afternoon started with the offer of a guided tour through the Training College. The next lecture starts at 4pm. Subject: "The Salvation Army history, part 1"

More later tonight...
